Elani is 17 years old and attending Shawnigan Lake School. She loves to write and to sing. She hopes to eventually go into education, however she will first be pursuing a degree in Gender and Women’s Studies. Elani is interested in the ways we affect each other through our actions, which is evident in her powerful poem, “the After Effects of the Past.”
